One Body Press is not accepting submissions at this time. We aim to give our authors the time and attention they deserve and to put out a quality product. Taking on additional load at this time would run counter to those goals. Please feel free to check back soon, or drop us a line if you have any questions.
First, you need to send us a book proposal. Book proposals can be e-mailed to us. Please include your proposal in the body of the e-mail. E-mails with attachments will not be opened. Work must have a minimum of 50,000 words
Once we receive your book proposal, please allow us one to two weeks to review it. Once we have given it our full consideration we will send you a response. If we like your idea and want to publish your book, we will send you instructions on sending us your manuscript. If you are not sure how to do a proposal click here.
Manuscripts may be mailed to us after we have reviewed your book proposal and indicated our desire to receive it. Unsolicited manuscripts will be returned unopened.
Manuscripts should be Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced, with one inch margins. Please allow us two to four weeks to review your manuscript. Also we require exclusivity with your manuscripts. That is, we ask that you do not send your manuscript to another publisher until you have heard back from us.
Congratulations! Not only was your book proposal intriguing, but we liked your manuscript and have decided to publish your book! You will be notified by mail and a publishing contract will follow shortly. If you have an agent, the contract will go to the agent, but if you do not have an agent that is ok! We will send you a copy directly and answer any questions you may have.
